PlopKit is an open-source, embeddable comment widget. Add a single script tag to any page and you get a moderated comment section no backend required on your end.

Lightweight: built with Svelte, 21.3 kB gzipped.

Self-serve moderation: commenters can delete their own comments.

Persistent identity, no accounts: each commenter gets a unique ID, so returning visitors are recognizable and makes the comment section more identifiable while still not requiring accounts.

Two ways to use PlopKit

PlopKit Cloud: sign up, add your site, and start embedding widgets in minutes. We handle hosting, uptime, and updates.

Self-Hosted: run PlopKit on your own server with Docker. Fully open source, no feature restrictions, full control of your data.
